In Online Baccarat, the bettor does not deal with the cards; instead he places the bet on the performing hands. He will place the bets on whichever hand seems to be promising to win.

  • He can bet either on The Banker or the player.

Eight standard decks of cards are shuffled together and the cards are dealt from it. Jokers are taken out of the cards.

  • The Banker and the player are dealt with two cards respectively.
  • While speaking about the cards, the 10s and the face cards have no value; their value is 0.
  • The cards below 10 will have their respective face values printed upon them
  • Aces are counted as 1.
  • Suits have no values in Baccarat.

The totaling of the values of the cards is the distinct feature of the game:

  • If a player gets a Queen and 4, and if the Banker’s cards also come to 6, then a third card might be dealt from the deck based on the rules that run in that casino.
  • However, if a hand gets a Queen and 9 then the value of the hand is 9 and it is called as Natural and is declared as the winning hand.
  • After adding up the cards, the tens of the total are ignored. Only the last digit is taken into account. If the total comes to 13, then the hand value is 3.

This means the hand value in Baccarat is 0-9 inclusive and hence the hand with the highest number wins the game.
When both the Banker’s hand and the Player’s hand get the Natural, 9, then neither of the hand wins or loses. It ends up in a Tie. Hence the payoff is made only to the players who placed their chips on the Tie area of the table.

The Tie hand occurs very rarely. Small boxes are placed in front of the respective players where they have the put the commission due to the House. When the Bank wins, the respective winning players will place 5% of their winnings as casino taxes.

There are many Baccarat rules constituting the game. In certain cases, there are a few rules in dealing the third card. Sometimes, there are rules to decide if the third is to be dealt or not. The cards are not given to the individual players and hence they do not have a say on it.

It is simple and only few decisions are made regarding the game as to place the bet on which hand. So no skill is involved in playing the game as it is purely a game of chance.
